Commander’s MessageSecond Term, Stronger Team, Better Year
Hello DAV Auxiliary family, Here we go again—and this time, we are not just doing it again, we are doing it better! As I begin my second term as Department Commander, I want to say thank you for trusting me to continue serving alongside you. Last year was a year of rebuilding, learning, cleaning things up, and putting stronger pieces in place. It was not always easy, but we kept going. Now this year, we get to take all of that hard work and have some fun with it. My goal is simple: better communication, better teamwork, better planning, and better service. We are going to keep strengthening our Units, supporting our members, and showing up for our veterans and their families with heart, purpose, and a little bit of joy. One of the things I am most excited about is continuing to work side by side with DAV. When DAV and DAV Auxiliary work together, great things happen. We bring different strengths, but we share one mission: serving disabled veterans and their families. Whether it is a BBQ, a membership event, a veterans home visit, a fundraiser, or simply showing up where help is needed, we are better together. This second term is not about being perfect. It is about being present, being willing, being united, and making things better one step at a time. So let’s roll up our sleeves, bring our ideas, welcome new members, support each other, laugh a little along the way, and keep moving this Department forward.
